If I understand correctly: OPIE is, or can be, a series of prompts; plural. 

So, instead, maybe: 

> The OPIE prompts provide a useful feature.

Although honestly, it's the type of sentence that I'd simply remove. 

(Like, everything in a handbook is, or should be, implicitly useful.)
