                    ions
                OS: Any
            Status: New
          Severity: Affects Many People
          Priority: ---
         Component: Website
          Assignee: doc@FreeBSD.org
          Reporter: grahamperrin@gmail.com

<https://www.freebsd.org/applications/#_freebsd_runs_thousands_of_applications>

> … FreeBSD also includes an extensive packages collection and ports collection

'packages collection refers to <https://www.freebsd.org/where/>, which seems
wrong.

'ports collection' refers to 'https://www.freebsd.org/ports/', which is the
correct page, however the collection is _not integral_ to FreeBSD.

----

I see other minor issues, but the phrase quoted above might partly explain why
newcomers are sometimes confused about the essence of FreeBSD.
