There's a survey email, visible (if you haven't received it) at

https://lists.freebsd.org/archives/freebsd-doc/2022-April/001677.html. In that
context, I mean "counterproductive" as "would make the whole FreeBSD Handbook
less useful to some" (which removing NIS documentation definitely qualifies as
if sites/people still use it).
