Hi! I have FreeBSD 15.1 My software: drm-66-kmod 6.6.25 mesa-dri 26.0.6 mesa-libs 26.0.6 sway 1.12 mpv 0.41.0 libplacebo 7.360.1 veloren-weekly s20260618 My graphics card: Radeon RX 6000 (don't remember which one, identified as Navi 23) After a recent update I have a disaster with software which uses Vulkan. Namely, veloren game (games/veloren-weekly) breaks graphics on startup (the screen becomes black, the card's coolers blow with zero GPU usage). The last lines in dmesg: pid 5186 (veloren-voxygen), jid 0, uid 1001: exited on signal 6 (no core dump - denied by kern.coredump) [drm ERROR :gfx_v10_0_priv_reg_irq] Illegal register access in command stream [drm ERROR :amdgpu_job_timedout] ring gfx_0.0.0 timeout, signaled seq=13138, emitted seq=13141 [drm ERROR :amdgpu_job_timedout] Process information: process pid 101439 thread pid 101439 drmn0: GPU reset begin! drmn0: MODE1 reset drmn0: GPU mode1 reset drmn0: GPU smu mode1 reset hdac0: Unexpected unsolicited response from address 0: 00000000 hdac0: Unexpected unsolicited response from address 0: 00000000 hdac0: Unexpected unsolicited response from address 0: 00000000 hdac0: Unexpected unsolicited response from address 0: 00000000 hdac0: Unexpected unsolicited response from address 0: 00000000 hdac0: Unexpected unsolicited response from address 0: 00000000 hdac0: Unexpected unsolicited response from address 0: 00000000 hdac0: Unexpected unsolicited response from address 0: 00000000 drmn0: GPU mode1 reset failed drmn0: ASIC reset failed with error, -60 for drm dev, drmn0drmn0: GPU reset succeeded, trying to resume [drm] PCIE GART of 512M enabled (table at 0x0000008000800000). Now after a recent update I have this when try to use mpv to watch a movie: [vo/gpu-next/libplacebo] vkQueueSubmit2: VK_ERROR_UNKNOWN (../src/vulkan/command.c:533) It also can be fixed by forcing opengl renderer. What still works: Sway can start with WLR_RENDER=vulkan. Some games which use Vulkan can still be played, e.g. yquake2 (with ref_vk renderer), vkquake, uzdoom. But I don't like when stuff breaks like mpv. Has anybody encountered the same problems?
