Unfortunate to hear it isn't supported. That will definitely be the
first thing I'll add when I learn to contribute to the project. I can
already somewhat write C myself but definitely not kernel hacking... :^)

To answer your question regarding the headset jack, it does in fact
work. Even if it didn't work, I still have a Blue Snowball I could use
for it. Though it would not be the most convenient if I wanted to take
my laptop anywhere in case of conferencing and whatnot.
