Please accept my apologies for not responding to you. I discovered that I
had an email filtering rule incorrectly set up which led to me missing your
message (I have also been OOO for a good deal of the month).

In general, the reason for disallowing comments on the issues is to try to
minimise the number of places that conversations are happening. We
encourage people to use this mailing list but I appreciate it creates some
initial friction.
