We can't drop this responsibility on desktop@ ALso changing Xorg priority is not something the OS should enforce on users, and definitely not something a display manager should do unilaterally, this should at least be discussed with the Xorg maintainers and evaluated as a policy for all the ports tree. I really would not feel comfortable adding such opinionated custom scripts to the port. I'm also not really able to give a reasonable security evaluation of these scripts.
