I tell a lie: DOCS is **on** by default, if it exists at all: see
https://docs.freebsd.org/en/books/porters-handbook/makefiles/#makefile-options
, in particular 5.13.1.3 . I may have explicitly switched DOCS **off** at some
point, locally.

If you want ports without DOCS, you need to switch that off specifically for
that port.

GLib docs are, unfortunately, heavyweight to build, because they need the GDbus
examples, and that needs tests, .. and so you have a fair bit of
build-dependency. Not runtime! See

about that.

Anyway, it seems the issue isn't really "the port options don't match my
expectations", but "the DOCS build fails." The title of this PR doesn't suggest
that to me, but now that I looked at the log .. this matches the build failures
other people have reported. Please try git main again: I landed a
glib-2.70.4_5,2 today with a hope-it-fixes-it patch (I can't reproduce the
problem locally, which is a bit of a problem).
