If the patch of FreeBSD-EN-21:08.freebsd-update is applied while at
11.4-RELEASE-p3 will that patch carry into p4, p5, p6, p7, and p8?  Likewise if
one upgraded to 12.0, 12.1, and 12.2 would the patch carry from being applied
in 11.4?

I was aware 12.3 is expected in about month.

I am holding back question(s) about upgrade to 12.x for moment until I clear
this bug.
