Haha, I take back what I said about your car. Apparently it can do 300 km/h, it just needed a longer straight road. :)

Your 4K results hit a wall at around 107K IOPS, no matter how many threads you used.

with 32 threads: 3008 MB/s, you saturated the autoban.

You should try to compare the same disk. the Samsung and the HP are different.  

Proper testing is testing the Samsung with 16-Current with the patches , and testing HP in FreeBSD 13.5.

Btw 13.5 is unmaintained and will never get backports or fixes.
