I've updated a 15.0 to the today CURRENT without any problem, see below,
and it gives reproducible PANIC on SSH connect. What can I do? A photo of the screen
is here: http://www.unixarea.de/PANIC.jpg

Thanks

# cd /usr/src
# git remote --v
origin	https://git.freebsd.org/src.git (fetch)
origin	https://git.freebsd.org/src.git (push)

ok, /usr/src was git cloned, so we update it to CURRENT with

# git -C /usr/src pull

# cd /usr/src
# etcupdate extract
# etcupdate diff >> ~guru/etcupdate.diff

(check ~guru/etcupdate.diff for local modifications)

see also for the "WITH_CLEAN=yes":
https://lists.freebsd.org/archives/freebsd-current/2024-November/006688.html

# cd /usr/src
# make -j8 buildworld WITH_CLEAN=yes

see now: https://docs.freebsd.org/en/books/handbook/cutting-edge/
27.7.1 . Quick Start!!!!

# make -j8 kernel # this will build AND install the kernel

# shutdown -r now

on console, not by SSH (it gave a PANIC)

# etcupdate -p
# cd /usr/src
# make installworld
# etcupdate -B
# shutdown -r now

SSH gives PANIC
