Hello Ruslan,

Thanks for this hint and your very useful tool. I run:

guru@ASUS-150:~/kldinfo $ for mod in /boot/modules/*.ko; do ./kldinfo $mod ; done > kldinfo.lst 2>&1
guru@ASUS-150:~/kldinfo $ grep kernel kldinfo.lst

i.e. all existing modules in /boot/modules/ are compiled against the
correct kernel version.

As I said above, there is also something missind:

> > Oct 18 22:33:16 ASUS-150 kernel: drmn0: could not load firmware image
> > 'amdgpu/green_sardine_sdma.bin'

The above existing module have been installed by:

$ pkg info -l gpu-firmware-amd-kmod-aldebaran-20260519.1600028
gpu-firmware-amd-kmod-aldebaran-20260519.1600028:
	/boot/modules/amdgpu_aldebaran_mec2_bin.ko
	/boot/modules/amdgpu_aldebaran_mec_bin.ko
	/boot/modules/amdgpu_aldebaran_rlc_bin.ko
	/boot/modules/amdgpu_aldebaran_sdma_bin.ko
	/boot/modules/amdgpu_aldebaran_sjt_mec2_bin.ko
	/boot/modules/amdgpu_aldebaran_sjt_mec_bin.ko
	/boot/modules/amdgpu_aldebaran_smc_bin.ko
	/boot/modules/amdgpu_aldebaran_sos_bin.ko
	/boot/modules/amdgpu_aldebaran_ta_bin.ko
	/boot/modules/amdgpu_aldebaran_vcn_bin.ko
	...

The above missing file have been in March 2025 part of this pkg:

$ tar tzf gpu-firmware-amd-kmod-green-sardine-20230625.1500033_2.pkg
+COMPACT_MANIFEST
+MANIFEST
/boot/modules/amdgpu_green_sardine_asd_bin.ko
/boot/modules/amdgpu_green_sardine_ce_bin.ko
/boot/modules/amdgpu_green_sardine_dmcub_bin.ko
/boot/modules/amdgpu_green_sardine_me_bin.ko
/boot/modules/amdgpu_green_sardine_mec_bin.ko
/boot/modules/amdgpu_green_sardine_mec2_bin.ko
/boot/modules/amdgpu_green_sardine_pfp_bin.ko
/boot/modules/amdgpu_green_sardine_rlc_bin.ko
/boot/modules/amdgpu_green_sardine_sdma_bin.ko
/boot/modules/amdgpu_green_sardine_ta_bin.ko
/boot/modules/amdgpu_green_sardine_vcn_bin.ko

which is not installed any more, onl:

$ pkg info | grep gpu
gpu-firmware-amd-kmod-aldebaran-20260519.1600028 Firmware modules for aldebaran AMD GPUs

What do I miss? Do I need the amdgpu_green_sardine_* files? If not, why
is amdgpu.ko complaining about is absence.

Thanks again
