Now that I got home and had a chance to try to re-create the (alleged)
problem, I find that I am quite unable to do so.
The same machine is currently booted, running:
g1-124(15.0-C)[1] uname -aUK
FreeBSD g1-124.catwhisker.org 15.0-CURRENT FreeBSD 15.0-CURRENT #509 main-n278156-b2ac169802eb: Mon Jun 23 13:56:05 UTC 2025 root@g1-124.catwhisker.org:/common/S4/obj/usr/src/amd64.amd64/sys/CANARY amd64 1500048 1500048
And:
g1-124(15.0-C)[2] ifconfig wlan0

(I even managed to get the name of the NIC driver wrong: it's iwm(4),
not iwn(4). <eye roll>)
Sorry for the noise.
Peace,
david
