ASROCK B850M Pro-A with BIOS 4.03: NO boot

Hello,

just for the record: 
Using a AM5 based ASROCK B850M Pro-A mainboard for a small server
platform, upgrading to the latest BIOS/Firmware leave CURRENT - no matter whether official
latest image or custom build/running system - unbootable. The loader gets stuck with the last
words on screen/console like:

Loading splash ok
