Yes, this is true, it's what was tried first.

I *think* i tried this. I remember thinking "hmm why is autopart 
invoked in a manual context" but I can't be 100% sure, and can't test
again until i'm in a position to install to nvme hardware again.

But thanks for looking at this and fixing it.
