Hello,

I am running 14.0-CURRENT using the snapshot from 2021-08-05.  It looks
as if setting dumpdev="AUTO" in /etc/rc.conf has no effect on enabling
kernel crash dumps.

root_at_callisto:~ # uname -a
FreeBSD callisto 14.0-CURRENT FreeBSD 14.0-CURRENT #0
main-n248478-f3a3b061216: Thu Aug  5 06:03:20 UTC 2021 root_at_releng
1.nyi.freebsd.org:/usr/obj/usr/src/arm64.aarch64/sys/GENERIC arm64

root_at_callisto:~ # swapinfo -h
Device              Size     Used    Avail Capacity
/dev/gpt/swap        30G       0B      30G     0%

root_at_callisto:~ # dumpon -l
/dev/null

root_at_callisto:~ # sysrc dumpdev
dumpdev: AUTO

I have to manually enable it via dumpon even though it's set to AUTO in
rc.conf

root_at_callisto:~ # dumpon /dev/gpt/swap
root_at_callisto:~ # dumpon -l
gpt/swap
