working with an ASPEED 2500 I've installed xf86-video-ast and set "ast" as
Driver for xorg.conf under /usr/local/etc/X11/

not matter what way i start X11 this leads to an immediate reboot

since I'm new to FreeBSD I'd appreciate assistance on how to help further this
report
