Hello!

I didn't know about kbdmap. I just checked it and it shows up "lv" at the
very bottom on my laptop with FreeBSD 15.1. I suppose it should show "Latvian"

I myself enabled this layout by setting:

keymap="lv"

in /etc/rc.conf

I can check to see how to update kbdmap list to have properly named entry
in couple days when I have some spare time.

To enter special character you should press and hold AltGr (aka Right
Alt, aka Right Option key (on Mac keyboard)) and then press any of
"aeuisgklzcn" letters.
