            Bug ID: 299206
Summary: bnxt(4): VF Device ID 0x1806 support reach a release?
           Product: Base System
           Version: 14.5-RELEASE
          Hardware: Any
                OS: Any
            Status: New
          Severity: Affects Only Me
          Priority: ---
         Component: kern
          Assignee: bugs@FreeBSD.org
          Reporter: karthick031995@gmail.com

First of all, thank you for all the work that goes into FreeBSD and the bnxt(4)
driver.

I have been testing FreeBSD 14.5 installations in VMs using Broadcom NICs with
SR-IOV enabled. When SR-IOV Virtual Functions are created, they are exposed
with the following PCI IDs:

  vendor = 0x14e4, device = 0x1806

In FreeBSD 14.5, the if_bnxt driver does not yet include this VF Device ID, so
the VF is not recognized or initialized by the driver.

I was glad to see that support for Device ID 0x1806 has already been added to
the main branch:
https://cgit.freebsd.org/src/tree/sys/dev/bnxt/bnxt_en/bnxt.h?h=main

Could you kindly let me know when this change is expected to be available in a
release branch?

Thank you very much for your time.
