Bug ID: 295619
Summary: ZFS boot environment rollback can revert files in
/root
Product: Base System
Version: 16.0-CURRENT
Hardware: Any
OS: Any
Status: New
Severity: Affects Only Me
Priority: ---
Component: conf
Assignee: bugs@FreeBSD.org
Reporter: rbranco@suse.com
The default bsdinstall ZFS layout does not create a separate /root dataset. As
a result, /root is stored inside the boot environment root dataset.
/root may contain data such as SSH keys, scripts, patches, notes, etc. Rolling
back to an earlier boot environment may changes made under /root.
