My best guess is = that there is an ABI change in a library used by smartd (like libcam). Does sma= rtd work ok if you disable it temporarily until you can pkg upgrade to a new version of smartd compiled against 14? If so, then we probably aren't able= to fix this type of breakage (it would break too many other things for binaries compiled on 14.x).
