Bug ID: 292123
Summary: vt(4) doesn't respect font specified in loader.conf(5)
on raspberry pi 4 aarch64 uefi boot
Product: Base System
Version: 15.0-STABLE
Hardware: Any
OS: Any
Status: New
Severity: Affects Only Me
Priority: ---
Component: kern
Assignee: bugs@FreeBSD.org
Reporter: ziaee@FreeBSD.org
The font is not changed during subsequent boots after attempting to set the
font with:
screen.font="16x32"
in loader.conf. Additionally, if trying to bypass that setting with:
exec="loadfont /boot/fonts/16.32.fnt.gz"
The system hangs, with a message:
Synchronous Exception at 0x0000000000001018
Tested on Raspberry Pi 4 Rev 1.5, with FreeBSD 15.0R, installed on UEFI v1.50.
