I'd recommend ENFILE as EMFILE is about the number of file descriptors in the
process whereas ENFILE is more vaguely about a global number of files.  The
number of zones on a disk is not a matter of the current process, so that seems
more suitable.

I also feel like some of the errors associated with incorrect write pointers
might be a match for ESPIPE.  After all, you can only append to an append-only
zone, like with a fifo.
