So, I just tried this on 15-STABLE, and if you build it without profiling, it
appears to work fine. Certainly I am running mysql on arm64 in AWS using
libtcmalloc_minimal.so and it seems to be OK.

Would it be possible to re-enable to port, at leats for amd64, but disallow the
profiling option ? Not ideal I know, but it would give the ability to use
tcmalloc, which is quite important - at least for me (using the system jemalloc
on our workload causes excessive memory use) ;-)
