Bug ID: 289900
Summary: dma(8) set alias in To: header
Product: Base System
Version: Unspecified
Hardware: Any
OS: Any
Status: New
Severity: Affects Only Me
Priority: ---
Component: misc
Assignee: bugs@FreeBSD.org
Reporter: marko.cupac@mimar.rs
Hi,
when using dma to route outgoing mail (daily reports from periodic) through
external SMTP server (MS Exchange in this particular example), To: field in
header is set to 'root' even when it is aliased to another address by means of
/etc/aliases. This is quite confusing to receivers when alias is set to a
distribution group consisting of members which have nothing to do with root.
Wouldn't it be more appropriate to set To: field to an alias? Or at least make
it configuration choice?
Thank you in advance,
