Bug ID: 289872
Summary: FreeBSD doesn't recognize xterm-ghotty
Product: Base System
Version: CURRENT
Hardware: Any
OS: Any
Status: New
Severity: Affects Many People
Priority: ---
Component: misc
Assignee: bugs@FreeBSD.org
Reporter: minsoochoo0122@proton.me
xterm-ghostty is added to ncurses TERMINFO entry starting from version
6.5-20241228. The latest vendor import of ncurses was version 6.5 on 20240620
(24fa7a5107c5b75d1c197accf0305be64bc72882), so FreeBSD still can't recognize
xterm-ghostty.
This makes ssh unusable when ssh-ing from Ghostty terminal. Current workaround
is "infocmp -x xterm-ghostty | ssh YOUR-SERVER -- tic -x -" as described in
https://ghostty.org/docs/help/terminfo#ssh.
