I still don't understand the deal with "video console".
Here is what conscontrol reports on my APU:
Configured: ttyu0,gdb
Available: ttyu0,gdb
Muting: off
Note ttyu0 instead of uart, and absence of ttyv0.
I have newer firmware / "BIOS", not sure if that matters.
