BIOS is the latest version ever published for the board. Now it even seems to
be hanging on boot with Hyper Threading disabled. It seems to boot most
consistently after booting up Linux and using the poweroff command and it going
down cleanly.

I have a full system crash in FreeBSD when running mpv by itself with no medial
in the queue. I forgot about this and did just that. After I hard to hard power
the system due to this it does the boot hang even with Hyper Threading off.
Before this seemed like the magic bullet, but not this situation just seems to
be getting worse instead of better.
