I'm glad to see it works fine with single CPU, so a (very unfortunate)
workaround for others would be to set kern.smp.disabled=1 at loader, and in
loader.conf.

The problem that we've determined is the timebase sync, so the clocks on the
individual cores are off, which causes nasty scheduler problems.

But, if everyone who has commented with a dual CPU or dual core setup can
verify that disabling SMP works for them, that would seal it, and we can focus
on only the timebase sync, instead of also the trap handling.
