When opening/closing the lid, do you get the "acpi_ec0: GPE query failed:
AE_NO_HARDWARE_RESPONSE" repeated? Looks like the EC is sending the SCI
interrupt on lid events as it should, but won't respond when asking what GPE
its trying to trigger.

Just to clarify, this only happens when you bounce on trying to enter S3?
