Thank you for your response.

At some point in FreeBSD Current. My touchpad started working, and I discovered
it by accident! (which was a fortunate accident btw).

Here is my current loader configuration:
# Raptor Lake-S PCH SMBus Controller
iichid_load="YES"
smbus_load="YES"

# Touchpad
ietp_load="YES"
ig4_load="YES"
hw.psm.elantech_support=0
hw.psm.synaptics_support=1
hw.psm.trackpoint_support=0
hw.psm.tap_enabled=1

I'm happy to close this bug and can confirm it has been working flawlessly for
at least a month!
