One more thing, as I already mentioned in the linked reddit thread:

I checked the installation time of all /var/cache/pkg/gpu-firmware-amd-kmod-*
packages after the upgrade to 15.0-RELEASE.

All pkgs have been installed at 9:36pm by running "pkg-static upgrade -f" after
the "freebsd-update install / reboot" process, except for the one pkg which is
required for my model.

This single package, the missing gpu-firmware-amd-kmod-green-sardine one, has
been installed 10 minutes later, after I upgraded the new FreeBSD-ports-kmods
repo.
