Hello. I am using vt and I have tried these sysctls below.

% tail -n 2 /etc/sysctl.conf
hw.syscons.bell=1
kern.vt.enable_bell=1

In each of these, i was unable to ring the bell via "echo -e \a" or by hitting
the backspace key. My sound works on both X11 and TTY (tested with "beep"
command).
