I would add '!$' to the list alongside '!!' feature.

The !$ is the LAST argument of previous command.



Example 1:

    # pwd
    /

    # mkdir asd

    # cd !$
    cd asd

    # pwd
    /asd



Example 2:

    # grep hostname /etc/rc.conf
    hostname='asd'

    # vi !$
    vi /etc/rc.conf
