I just received one of these (840 G5). The 15-CURRENT memstick.img boots nicely
in EFI mode. In legacy mode attempting to boot a clone of my Acer laptop's
disk, I believe (because it flashes a couple of lines before it boots again) I
see the same as in the photograph of the bug.

I did update the firmware to the 2024 (1.28.0) version of the firmware, which
made no difference. Certainly if someone wants to use this hardware one must
use UEFI secure boot mode. Though I would prefer to simply clone my Acer SSD to
an SSD I could install in the new machine, saving me a lot of setup work.

* I've usually cloned one machine to the next to the next over the years. It
served me well in the Solaris and OSF/1 days and did when I started using
FreeBSD. It's a huge time saving approach to clone a drive, pop it in a new
machine and have it work with only a few minor tweaks.

This is certainly a legacy mode issue.
