I did a fresh install and tested immediately, before loading any additional
modules.  On a bare system, suspend works, but upon resume I get a black screen
on the console.  The system is responsive in this case.  Tapping the power
button leads to an ACPI shutdown.

I also tried disabling all non-essential modules after in loader.conf and
rc.conf after setting up the desktop environment, and the freeze still occurs,
so the freeze seems likely related to drm or i915kms.
