https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=278123 Bug ID: 278123 Summary: multiple tty support disappeared in current on Alder Lake about the last half of January Product: Base System Version: CURRENT Hardware: amd64 OS: Any Status: New Severity: Affects Some People Priority: --- Component: kern Assignee: bugs@FreeBSD.org Reporter: portmaster@bsdforge.com On the following hardware, an upgrade from FreeBSD 15.0-CURRENT #0 main-n267640-7a4d1d1df0b2: Thu Jan 18 04:04:32 UTC 2024 to FreeBSD 15.0-CURRENT #0 main-n268793-220ee18f1964: Thu Mar 14 02:58:39 UTC 2024 resulted in the inability to use any other tty than ttyv0. ps waux | grep getty, indicates getty is servicing all of them, as does ls /dev indicate that they are all there. /etc/ttys and /etc/gettytb are identical to previous versions of CURRENT. I have nothing in rc.conf(5) that would have any affect. The use of any other tty than ttyv0 is also unavailable while booted to any of the FreeBSD install media. My most recent attempt is from: FreeBSD 15.0-CURRENT #0 main-n269036-6baddb6b1176: Fri Mar 29 10:19:43 UTC 2024 Which fails in the same manner. The hardware affected is as follows: CPU: 12th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i3-1215U (2496.00-MHz K8-class CPU) IdeaPad 3 17IAU7 Environmental information: hostb0@pci0:0:0:0: class=0x060000 rev=0x04 hdr=0x00
