Elsewhere on the web: for one of the non-default values, I'm aware of at least
one guide that specifically refrains from using the non-default value, in an
environment that may be commonly associated with desktop usage. 

I hesitate before referencing or quoting here, because Bugzilla may be not
well-suited to tuning-related discussions …
