I think that it is perfectly valid to have a default mountpoint value for both
"bootable" and "non-bootable" datasets.

Rather than inventing kludges why wouldn't the reporter simply follow the
convention (requirement even) of having all BE datasets and only them under a
common parent?
That works and does not require any effort from anyone.
