Regarding the teken colors, I found this

which indicates that, alternatively to the color numbers, there can be used the
english color names, too.

Maybe this should be added to the documentation (manpage, handbook) as well.

Imho the other vt newcons configuration options mentioned here

also would deserve being documented.
