Imagine for some reason smp_targeted_tlb_shootdown() is called unpinned and= the first condition is satisfied (active kernel debug or booting). In this case= we go to local_cb and shed_unpin() is called. If KASSERT is placed after the if statement, we will not receive the descriptive panic message "curthread not pinned" and unpinning will expose strange panics again. My tests are finished successfully.
