Yes. To get short description about sysctl:
# sysctl -d vfs.zfs.vol.mode
vfs.zfs.vol.mode: Expose as GEOM providers (1), device files (2) or neither

# sysctl vfs.zfs.vol.mode=2
vfs.zfs.vol.mode: 1 -> 2

You can change it at runtime.

If you set this sуsctl to 2, ZFS will not attempt to create a GEOM provider.
