As stands, the only potential/existing upstream for the RPi5 D0 parts for FreeBSD seems to be the EDK2 style: https://github.com/NumberOneGit/rpi5-uefi/ that is a variant of the support for the original RPi5's. So: Strictly (implicit!) volunteer based, largely without need of kernel development for the limited range of what it would support. (Same as for the older RPi5's via https://github.com/worproject/rpi5-uefi/ .) > Once again for a better understanding: nearly everything is completely patched for Pi4&5 in u-boot, just not officially.. > Well, of course that doesn`t mean that RP1-chip is patched in fbsd-sources….that`s another thing.. > > O.K., thanks for reading > And all have nice day > > Best Regards > > K. > >> Am 04.06.2025 um 17:54 schrieb Warner Losh <imp@bsdimp.com>: > >> I don't know what the state of play is with the uboot >> vs edk2 ports to the rpi5. === Mark Millard marklmi at yahoo.com
