Just a voice from out here in the world to let you know how much I
value this entire email discussion. You are doing a wonderful thing here
because we all know that the RPi hardware is everywhere. You can throw a
rock and hit three of them in almost any direction. However the install
process with FreeBSD seems to be a nightmare. Not as terrible as RISC-V
but certainly not trivial.
I hope that the wiki docs can be polished up a little and I will be
happy to test. I have a RPi5 standing by, in the box, waiting for some
months. The serial console idea is really of value to me ... so ... gee
I hope we can figure that out. There must be pins on it somewhere for
real serial goodness. I hope.
