i suggest everybody make code that works on fbsd current. there are already number of patches floating around that are for specific tree for some unknown reason. there's ton of effort there i can understand. i could never do it on my own. i just don't get why we can't like have against current. then merged into current so it works. like with h618. i got device, though ooh now we start deving it. was like with bbb. but it somehow fizzled out. only titus writing it? once. kind of sad. with bbb, for which i still have working hw, it went bit better. that phone project is also like solely mario's pet. i wish it could be possible to have like few platforms from each "class" that actually work. like headless class low power. mid power with some video. aarch64 servers are bit more sane state? also from bits i rarely find. some of those things get actually used "at work" type env. so there must be some commercial interest too? but as if it's so fragmented. part of it seems to be like top secret stuff. which is awesome if fbsd gets used in those envs since it really fits there. i mean. lots of mess. it also doesn't help that arm is so nonstandard. ever remember how many mips device fbsd once supported? some still get used. nevermind the arm is like pretty much rpi or nothing. i don't like the state the fbsd embdded is in but i can't like have any good ideas either. that fbsd laptop project also seems to like focus on mostly on wifi and on wifi, only one intel hw basically. so i'm type of person who could test stuff, if hw is not that expensive for me to get, i'm often like good at finding bugs with unusual usage approach. mainly like personal reasons to do so. anyway it's kind of sad. it's also sad that several people have actually died too. and since there's no "redundant array of independent fbsd devs" and that those people worked on embedded. it also "helped" to get things stalled. sorry for having no idea how to even "fix" this all
