I'm sorry to say, but creating support for devices like Raspberry Pi is volunteer work. There is no "official position" as there is no official organization. And there is no support for production use of RPI5 as nobody gets paid to do that.

The only thing there is is a current overview of the status of the last effort somebody did to try to make it work. And this is in the Wiki page mentioned earlier.
It would be awesome to have more people helping out creating a working FreeBSD on RPI5. If you have the skills to help or are able to pay somebody to do this work for the project that would be great.
See "Contributing to FreeBSD" at https://www.freebsd.org/about/ for information about helping the FreeBSD project.

As mentioned in the Wiki some people have success with running FreeBSD on RPI5 with some known limitations.
I don't know what you want to do with it, but if you need production use today I would recommend https://www.raspberrypi.com/software/ as my understanding is that projects like Debian also don't support RPI5 out of the box yet.

BTW: the remark in the wiki about "no further development will take place" is about the rpi5-uefi project. That is unrelated to the FreeBSD project.

Regards,
Ronald.
