            Bug ID: 276284
Summary: serial console login reports corrupted MAC
           Product: Base System
           Version: Unspecified
          Hardware: arm
                OS: Any
            Status: New
          Severity: Affects Only Me
          Priority: ---
         Component: arm
          Assignee: freebsd-arm@FreeBSD.org
          Reporter: fbsd@www.zefox.net

While logging in as root on the serial console of a Pi2 running 12.4 Release
the login attempt reported
Corrupted MAC on input.
ssh_dispatch_run_fatal: Connection to 50.1.20.29 port 22: message
authentication code incorrect
The ssh connection to the terminal server (also a Pi2 running R12.4 dropped

Re-connecting to the terminal server and restoring the tip connection to the
serial console attached to a running root shell echoing meaningless but not
garbage characters.

Something similar has also been seen on an aarch64 14-stable system. Neither
host seems impaired, but the scenario is disturbing.

This is a descendant of bug 273566, but the corrupted MAC is a new
feature, if not an evolution.
