I am closing this bug because the reporter promised a patch "RSN" (real soon
now) in June 2023 but never delivered one. The thread-safety fix (adding a
mutex around check_valid_cookie) was described but never implemented as a
proper patch. A workaround exists (use prefork MPM instead of threaded MPM).
There has been no activity for nearly 3 years.
