Some commits are not flagged with MFC because some people forget or because it's unclear whether a MFC will be done at the time of the initial commit.  IIRC, in the cases I had to fix, some commits without tag had to be MFCed as dependencies of other ones, so I wouldn't rely on the absence of such a tag alone to make decisions.

That's what I'm calling "let go of i386", and that looks like a legitimate option.  srcmgr@ will discuss that.
