Hello!
IMO, there must be additional guard knob to avoid apply extra LDFLAGS in test conditions
Something like:
. if ${MACHINE_CPU:Mcortexa53} != "" && !defined AVOID_CORTEXA53_FIX
LDFLAGS += -Wl,--fix-cortex-a53-843419
. endif
